MonoChecker 1.0 - Installing on macOS
=====================================

MonoChecker by Delta Sigma: a listening and metering tool that lets you hear your mix in
mono, the Side or a single channel, compare your sources, and measure loudness, true peak
and mono compatibility.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
- macOS 11 Big Sur or later.
- A Mac with Apple silicon or an Intel processor.
- A VST3 or Audio Unit host: Logic Pro, Cubase, Nuendo, Reaper, Studio One, Ableton Live,
and most others. Pro Tools is not supported.
- A stereo track, bus or output.

INSTALLATION
1. First extract this archive: double-click the .zip file.
2. Quit your music software.
3. Double-click MonoChecker-1.0.0-macOS.pkg, signed and notarized by Apple, and follow the
installer: accept the licence agreement, then enter the password of an administrator of
   this Mac.
4. Restart your music software. If it does not find MonoChecker, ask it to rescan its
plug-ins; in Logic Pro, the Audio Unit is validated automatically at first launch.
MonoChecker is listed under the "Delta Sigma" vendor.

The installer places both plug-in formats in:
       /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/MonoChecker.vst3
       /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/MonoChecker.component

GETTING STARTED
Insert MonoChecker where you listen to your mix: on a monitoring bus, such as the Control
Room in Cubase and Nuendo, or as the last insert on the stereo output. Click MONO to hear
your mix in mono; during playback, INTEGRATED, TP MAX and MONO SAFETY measure what you
hear. When it sits on the stereo output, bypass it before exporting.

LICENCE AND TRIAL PERIOD
The licence is available at studiodeltasigma.com. Education licences, for students, and
site licences, for the computers of a school or a studio, are offered to institutions
under contract: write to info@studiodeltasigma.com. Without a licence, MonoChecker is
fully functional for 14 days, starting from the first time its window is opened. When the
trial ends, the sound passes through unprocessed until a licence is activated.

ACTIVATING YOUR LICENCE
Your licence was sent to you by email after your order; you can also find it in your
account at studiodeltasigma.com. In the MonoChecker window, click the diamond logo at the
top right, or "by Delta Sigma" at the bottom right: the licence window opens. Copy your
key, then click PASTE; or paste it into the field and click ACTIVATE; or drop the .licence
file onto the window. The licence is stored for your user account on this Mac.

PRIVACY
MonoChecker never connects to the internet and never sends any data outside your Mac. Your
licence and settings stay on your Mac.

UNINSTALLING
Delete the two files listed above, MonoChecker.vst3 and MonoChecker.component, then
restart your host. To reinstall, you can retrieve your licence from your account at
studiodeltasigma.com.
